The 2nd Mt. Lianhua Ice and Snow Festival Opened

In addition to ice lanterns and snow sculptures, the visitors can also have fun in skiing at the Mt. Lianhua Ecotourism Resort in this new season after the 2nd Changchun Mt. Lianhua Ice and Snow Festival was officially opened.

This winter, on the basis of the advantages of “one holiday resort and two ski resorts”, the Mt. Lianhua Ecotourism Resort will concentrate on creating ice and snow tourism products at the Mt. Tianding Ski Resort, Mt. Lianhua Shimao Ski Resort and New World of Ice and Snow of Changchun City so as to speed up the development of ice and snow industry. The Mt. Tianding Ski Resort and Mt. Lianhua Shimao Ski Resort have now gone operational. The New World of Ice and Snow of Changchun City will be opened officially on December 12, 2020.

“An event highlighting immersive experience for the public” is the goal of the 2nd Changchun Mt. Lianhua Ice and Snow Festival. The New World of Ice and Snow, Mt. Tianding Ski Resort and Mt. Lianhua Shimao Ski Resort will serve as venues with rich and immersive ice and snow tourism products for the visitors from all over the country. Insiders say such activities as 2nd National Ice and Snow Games Competition and Carnival for Students “Dream of Ice and Snow-Reunion at Winter Olympics”, “Ice and Snow Games for 1 Million Students in Changchun City” as well as Opening Ceremony for New Season of Ice and Snow Games, Competition of Ice Sculptures for College Students and “Gala for Anti-epidemic Heroes” will be organized at the New World of Ice and Snow. In addition, other activities including Winter Camp for Primary and Secondary School Students in Jilin Province, Winter Camp for Primary and Secondary School Students in Changchun City and Painting of Mt. Lianhua to Welcome the Winter Olympics as well as a series of winter activities like Carnival of Ice and Snow Games Shines in the City, Photo Competition-Have Fun and Show Yourselves in Ice and Snow Games, Parent-child Interaction, Winter Camp, Fireworks Show, Ice Lantern Show and Temple Fair will be held at the Mt. Tianding Ski Resort.

To make the ecotourism resort easily accessible, the route from “Changchun Longjia Airport to Mt. Tianding Resort” and the one from “Oriental Plaza, New World of Ice and Snow of Changchun City to Mt. Tianding Ski Resort” have been opened. In the meantime, two parking areas covering more than 2,200 places and another 1,000 on the two sides of street have been made ready for self-drive visitors.
